IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Credit Reporting Statement
Credit provider: Needy Loans Pty Ltd · ABN 72 676 095 846 · Australian Credit Licence 558796
What credit information means
The lender may hold identification, application and account details, credit liabilities, repayment history, payment arrangements, defaults, court judgments, insolvency details and other information permitted under Australian credit reporting law. It may derive eligibility information from credit reports.
Why it is used
Credit information supports application assessment, credit risk checks, account administration, collections, complaints, fraud prevention and legal compliance. The lender may exchange information with other credit providers and service providers where permitted.
Credit reporting bodies
The lender identifies Equifax and Experian as credit reporting bodies it deals with. Information reported can include identification, credit type and amount, repayment history and eligible default information. A default can affect future credit applications. You can seek a report or fraud alert directly from a reporting body.
Access and correction
Ask the lender for access or correction by emailing hello@needyloans.com.au. It says it does not charge for credit information access or correction requests. If an application is declined wholly or partly because of a credit report, ask which body supplied it and how to obtain a copy. You can also ask a reporting body to stop prescreening for direct marketing or to protect your information if you suspect fraud.
Complaints and security
Raise a credit privacy complaint with the lender first. If unresolved, the OAIC may assist, and AFCA may consider certain credit related privacy complaints. The lender describes safeguards, retention controls and restrictions on overseas disclosures. Read this with the Privacy Policy.
These pages explain the published information in the Visa Money context. The credit provider’s application disclosures and your individual loan contract set out the terms applicable to an offer. For questions, contact hello@needyloans.com.au.
